Scott Schell is the Executive Director of the Northwest Avalanche Center in Seattle, Washington. As a certified American Mountain Guides Association (AMGA) Ski Mountaineering Guide, Scott has guided throughout the United States, Alaska, Canada, and Europe. He’s a former AMGA ski discipline instructor.

An avid ski mountaineer, Scott has been involved in avalanche and guiding education for the past 20 years.   

Scott is the co-author of Backcountry Skiing, Skills for Ski Touring and Ski Mountaineering (Mountaineers Press, 2007).
